Press Technicians (2nd Shift) 

Job Title: Press Technician (2nd Shift)
Location: Manitowoc, WI 54220 (On-site)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:00 AM (40 hrs/week)
Pay: $23.27/hour (plus 10% shift differential after training/when moved to 2nd shift)

Job Summary

ABR Employment Services is hiring Press Technicians (2nd shift) for a well-established manufacturer in Manitowoc. In this role, you’ll operate and tend multiple presses/cells to produce quality parts, complete in-process inspections, and document production and quality results.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and tend multiple presses/cells while producing quality parts
• Monitor press controls and run equipment at optimal speeds without sacrificing quality
• Inspect finished parts and shut down operations if quality or equipment issues are identified
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, bore micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges , etc.
• Maintain a clean/safe work area (including cleaning scrap and addressing spills/leaks promptly)
• Perform minor preventive maintenance (lubrication, checking for loose parts/visible defects)
• Record production/material/quality data in operating systems per procedures
• Read and interpret part prints and understand critical dimensions tied to SPC requirements
• Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous improvement efforts
• Follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Use a forklift safely when needed to move materials (raw stock, scrap, finished parts)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
• Math, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and reading abilities required
• Ability to read/write and perform calculations
• Ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail
• Industrial/manufacturing experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and making quick, accurate decisions
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office helpful)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Controlled production environment
• Oil/coolant and noise (~90 dB) present — hearing protection required
• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Must follow all safety rules and complete required safety training/testing
